It’s all about the Power of Imagination

Find out why our MD thinks the perfect superpower is the power of imagination.

We like that, a lot!

Joanne Kimber, MD of Granby

The last of our Super Six leadership team to answer our Super Six question series is our amazing MD, Jo Kimber, and her answers definitely do NOT disappoint.

Can you give a very brief overview of your team’s main responsibilities within Granby?

The Leadership Team are responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategy, but being an operational SME, we are also hands on within our respective business areas, stepping in and supporting where required.

Is there a specific challenge or opportunity your team is currently facing – that you can share?

The team have an opportunity to grow the business either through expansion or acquisition, something we are currently weaving into our business plans.

What do you enjoy most about the culture and environment in your team?

The togetherness, passion and can-do mentality.

Can you share one memorable moment that made you feel proud to lead this team?

There are so many to mention, as I have direct contact with clients their feedback about our team makes me feel proud. Seeing our team grow and develop (Andrew, starting life as a customer service advisor to now being our Operations Director, Victoria, speaking at the UKWA and joining their board, are just a couple of examples where the team’s growth and confidence has led them to embrace new roles and additional responsibilities.

If your team had a theme song, what would it be and why?

The Script – Superheroes.

I think this song reminds our team that when we encounter hardships, we discover our inner strength and power. Overcoming challenges allows us to become great leaders who are then able to inspire others to give their best.

If your team could have a superpower, what would it be and how would it benefit the team?

The Power of Imagination, if you can believe it, you can literally do anything! To read more responses from the leadership team click on
