Discover why our Head of Warehouse and Site Services thinks SPACE truly is the final frontier
And why Dave Saunders sees his team as ideal recruits for Guardians of the Galaxy!
And we are now onto the fourth in our series asking team leaders within Granby our Super Six questions. This week, it’s Dave Saunders, our Head of Warehouse and Site Services.
Can you give a very brief overview of your department’s main responsibilities within Granby?
Our Warehouse solutions team allows a seamless process of stock management and order fulfilment, providing the best in quality service.
Is there a specific challenge or opportunity your department is currently facing – that you can share?
SPACE. Maximising “Space”.
That’s whether that be in Warehouse, Production or offices, to ensure all areas can be utilised efficiently. This is a constant challenge for our team.
What do you enjoy most about the culture and environment in your department?
We have a “Can do” mentality to deliver and improve on what we already offer.
Can you share one memorable moment that made you feel proud to lead this department?
Yes – We contributed and helped deliver the Census 2021 OTIF (on time, in full), which was a real team effort and a massive achievement for Granby.
If your department had a theme song, what would it be and why?
‘Obsession’ by Animotion – a classic from the eighties. We are obsessed with innovating and delivering the best warehouse solution for our clients and customers.
If your department could have a superpower, what would it be and how would it benefit the team?
Easy. We’d be ideal recruits for Guardians of the Galaxy.
After all, I see us as a team of superheroes already, a team that work together to apply strength, intelligence, vision & the determination to succeed in what we do.
