Contract packing & sustainability
We make every effort to reduce the impact of our business activities on the environment. We actively seek ways to help our clients improve their approach to materials, waste and efficiency, as well as their brand performance.
Good for business
There are many ways in which Granby works to minimise our impact on the environment. It’s something we really care about so we’re quite keen to share best practice when it comes to contract packing – so our clients can meet their eco commitments too and build enduring trust and loyalty with their customers.
So, for example, we can help you improve your packaging design, saving money, fuel, time and materials. Our environmental policy and culture upholds high standards on recycling and reusing, as well as waste and disposal. And we work with partners who value efficiency and appreciate the challenges we face as a sector.
Our agenda
-
Understanding customers - and profitAll businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and operating in a sustainable manner. This doesn't mean it has to hold your brand back - your customers care about emissions, waste and recycling in contract packing too.
-
Innovating with impactWe don't reinvent things for the sake of it , but we do seek new ideas and practices that make a positive impact on efficiency. This ideally improves environmental practices in contract packing, increases profit margins and adds value across the board.
-
Packaging design expertiseWe can help you improve the impact of your packaging while making sure it's robust enough to arrive at its destination in pristine condition. Our aim is to help you create an exceptional brand experience for your customer that minimises waste and uses sustainable materials where possible.
-
Commitment to sustainablilityWe minimise contract packing waste, which helps brands meet sustainability targets - and it also keeps the cost of materials to a minimum. We promote biodegradable materials and we're committed to helping you eliminate single use plastics like windows and ties.
-
Being accountableReducing our environmental impact and continually improving our own environmental performance is an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods. We set and measure targets and seek ways to improve.
-
Measurable environmental objectivesWe have an Ecovadis Gold Sustainability Rating. The assessment provides guidance on strengths and improvement areas, which we're using to focus our sustainability efforts and develop corrective action plans to improve our performance, including in contract packing.
Our environmental policy
