Lancashire Business View Granby shines bright at UKWA Awards
Granby, based in Blackburn, has been named the Logistics Service Provider of the Year at the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) Awards for Excellence 2024.
The prestigious event, held at the Royal Lancaster in London, was a momentous occasion for Granby and a significant achievement for Lancashire. This accolade is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence of the Granby team, and it highlights the thriving business landscape in our great county.
Lancashire Business View Caroline Noblett - Rising Star
Lancashire Business View magazine have for many years published an annual feature highlighting the achievements of women in business. This year they wanted the spotlight to shine on those under the age of 36. They had a tremendous response and many impressive nominations highlighting the achievements of young women in all types of business across our county. Their talent, energy and enthusiasm shone through.
Out of that list an independent judging panel chose a selection of younger business women who they believe are making a real difference and are pointing the way to a brighter future for Lancashire. Granby would like to congratulate our managing director, Caroline Noblett on being selected for this list.
Lancashire Telegraph UKWA visit Granby
Clare Bottle visited Granby in late January 2024, along with local MP, Kate Hollern to tour the company’s facilities and learn more about the company. The visit was jointly hosted by Granby Managing Director, Caroline Noblett, and Granby Head of Client Relationships and Business Development, Victoria Pittman.
2024 The Year of Warehousing campaign marks the 80th anniversary of the UK Warehousing Association and the visit recognised Granby’s own close relationship with the UKWA as Victoria Pittman sits on the UKWA membership board.
Lancashire Business View UKWA CEO with Caroline and Victoria
The national 2024 Year of Warehousing campaign, announced by Minister Richard Holden MP at the House of Lords in October, continued last week as Clare Bottle, CEO of the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA), arrived in Blackburn as part of her nationwide tour of 80 UK warehouses to showcase this important sector. During the visit Clare presented a certificate to Caroline Noblett and Victoria Pittman marking the occasion.
