Granby team supporting East Lancashire Hospice: We are incredibly proud to share that Lisa Widdowson from Granby’s Operations team has raised a superb £522 for the East Lancashire Hospice after her incredible achievement in the Great North swim. Lisa swam a mile across the beautiful Lake Windermere to raise money for the hospice. Her dedication and commitment to such a worthy cause is admirable.

Lisa’s passion for a healthy lifestyle is truly inspiring, as seen through her regular participation in our walks and her key role in the Granby Tough Mudder team last year.

East Lancashire Hospice

Jackie Morris – Community Fundraiser visited Granby to collect the cheque, and said “On behalf of East Lancashire Hospice, we would like to thank Lisa and all the team at Granby for supporting our Hospice and for raising much needed funds. Every donation we receive means we can carry on providing outstanding care for our Community, Patients and their Families.”

The East Lancashire Hospice has been a beacon of care for those with life-limiting illnesses in Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn, and the Ribble Valley for the past 40 years. East Lancashire Hospice provides many different services. These are available to people with life-limiting illness, their families and others important to them.

Fundraising Target £4.5 million each year

Each year the East Lancs Hospice needs to raise £4.5 million. This helps continue care for the people of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley. It is the support and help of people just like Lisa that helps them to do this. Granby Supporters

Here’s a photo of Lisa with that all important cheque alongside some of her colleagues. These team members supported her every step of the way. Left to right, the picture shows Klaudia Sadzynska of our Client Services team, Moh Mall, Production Team Leader, Lisa herself, Shaun Brunt, and Ansa Nisar, also from Production. This cause is particularly close to Ansa’s heart which is why she’s more than pleased to offer her support. Lisa wanted to include people in this handover from our teams across the business who have supported her. For her, this was a true team effort.
