Chippy Dinner this Friday and Saturday

Chippy Dinner this Friday and Saturday – yes, this lunchtime, and again tomorrow, there are free Fish and Chips for our amazing Granby team. Of course this is a great way to show appreciation and gratitude to our colleagues but it’s also just fun every now and again to get together to enjoy each other’s company.

Fish & Chips – The Healthy Option

Fish and chips is loved by just about everyone. It a classic British dish. We know Fish & Chips as a “Chippy Dinner” here in Blackburn. It’s that classic comfort food that brings us all together. We focus on on health and wellbeing here at Granby and some of you may be thinking that fish and chips doesn’t fit easily into that category. Well, prepare to be surprised. The tradition of fish and chips in the UK dates back to the 19th century. Back then it was a popular meal among working-class communities but since then it has gone on to be enjoyed by everyone in the community.

Fish is a great source of protein and essential nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, while chips provide a satisfying crunch and energy boost. When enjoyed in moderation, fish and chips can be a tasty and nutritious meal option. After all, a little of what you fancy does you good!
