Headline sponsor: Lancashire Three Peaks

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the first-ever Lancashire Three Peaks challenge, hosted by Lancashire Mind. Granby is very proud to have been the headline sponsor for this mental health charity event.
We want to say a special well done to the Granby team who took part, including Caroline, Managing Director and Charlotte, Head of People and Finance. Both also rallied their family and friends to join in, too, making this event even more special.
Caroline and Charlotte managed to raise an incredible £240 by taking part in the event, and everyone at Granby is feeling proud. There’s still time to donate if you can, using this link.
Sponsoring the event
As headline sponsor of this event, we’re proud to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the local community and to the incredible work of Lancashire Mind. Over the last few years, we have worked closely with the charity to raise awareness of their preventative services.
We also supported Lancashire Mind with their Roadshow event earlier in the year. During the event, they travelled around community hubs in the county to provide mental health resources.
Supporting and promoting mental well-being is close to our hearts at Granby. We’re really pleased that we have been able to play such a significant role in raising vital funds to help those who need it most.

Completing the event
Completing the Lancashire Three Peaks challenge was no easy task! Caroline, Charlotte and the other wonderful participants walked 21km across Great Hill, Winter Hill and Rivington Pike, covering 606 metres of elevation!
Here’s what they had to say about taking part…
Caroline, Managing Director:
“I’m extremely proud to have been part of the first Lancashire 3 Peaks Challenge, and for Granby to be the headline sponsor. We got absolutely drenched to the core, but every step was worth it! It was incredible to see everyone pushing through the rain for such a deserving cause – it really tested our resilience, both mentally and physically.”
Charlotte, Head of People & Finance:
“We braved torrential rain, muddy bogs, wind, and low visibility to conquer the challenging route across Lancashire’s hills. I was so proud to have been part of Team Granby, and despite being very soggy (and nursing a sore knee!) we finished with our medals and well-earned drinks. Supporting Lancashire Mind means so much, every penny raised will make a huge difference to the people and community across Lancashire.”

Emma Broom, Corporate Fundraiser at Lancashire Mind, said the following.
“You’ve heard of the National Three Peaks and the Yorkshire Three Peaks, but we decided Lancashire deserved its own version! And we’re incredibly excited to have Granby, a Lancashire company who are committed to the well-being of their staff, joining us every step of the way!
Granby’s generous support helps us to host a successful event, funding life-changing services and support; raising awareness; encouraging important conversations around mental health; and working towards ending stigma.”

Our additional mental health support
Granby is a people-first company providing employees with a wide range of well-being benefits. Within our dedicated team, we have 11 Health Champions who are committed to supporting health and well-being in the team. We encourage employees to partake in mental health training, and all line managers receive this training through the Granby Academy.
We have also developed Granby’s Health Assured App, which is a comprehensive tool used to support employee well-being. All employees can use the app to receive confidential mental health support and access excellent resources.
Granby is always searching for more ways to support the local community. We remain committed to promoting employee wellness.
Thank you to Lancashire Mind for selecting Granby as the headline sponsor for the Three Peaks event. We look forward to joining you again next year with this incredible challenge!
Thank you to everyone who donated using our fundraising link. We all really appreciate your support in helping Lancashire Mind raise awareness of their services and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
