Getting involved with Mental Health Awareness Week 2025
The 12th – 18th May marks Mental Health Awareness Week, and we’re proud to be a part of it, helping to promote positive well-being and break the stigma around mental health.
At Granby, we are passionate about supporting our people, and this week gives us the opportunity to step back, reflect and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a supportive and healthy work environment.
We achieve this in many ways, from highlighting employee success to taking part in events to build connections.
One of our social value themes is ‘well-being’. As part of our commitment to team well-being, we regularly participate in days out and champion our employees both personally and professionally. We are a people-focused team that strives for positive change and excellence in everything we do.
Over the years, we have shown our strong commitment to mental health and well-being within the team. One employee from our leadership team has undertaken and successfully passed a mental health awareness course and is available to any member of staff as a resource to discuss mental well-being. We have received great feedback from this and have seen the value in protecting the team’s well-being.

Granby has 11 health champions within the business who are dedicated to supporting health and well-being. Additionally, all line managers receive comprehensive mental health training as part of our Granby Academy program. This training equips them with the skills and knowledge needed to support their teams effectively.
We also have Granby’s Health Assured app, which is a comprehensive tool designed to support employee well-being. The app includes personal access to health resources, an employee assistance programme (EAP) and confidential support services.
The theme for this year’s awareness week is ‘community’, and at Granby, our community is extremely important to us. Whether we’re walking the walk with our clients or attending events, we see the true value of building meaningful connections with the local community.

Lancashire Mind Roadshow 2025
We’re proud to be a sponsor for the Lancashire Mind Roadshow, which is taking place from the 10th – 14th of May.
This sponsorship includes a visit from the Lancashire Mind Roadshow to Granby’s offices on Wednesday 14th May from 2:30pm until 4:30pm. There will be plenty of snacks and healthy treats along with a visit from the Lancashire Mind mascot, Sunny the Bear!
Lancashire Mind will be sharing valuable resources with our team and hosting fun activities that focus on the five ways to achieve well-being. Photographs of the event will be shared on our own and Lancashire Mind’s socials, so keep an eye out!

By sponsoring the Lancashire Mind Roadshow, Granby is not only promoting mental health awareness but also reinforcing its commitment to the well-being of its employees and the wider community. Our partnership aligns with Granby’s values of ethical leadership, inclusivity and community engagement.
The people of Lancashire are encouraged to take part either in person or online. During the roadshow, the charity will provide useful mental health resources in hubs, schools and other community spaces. The roadshow aims to strengthen community connections and make mental health conversations easier and more accessible to everyone.
Our Managing Director, Caroline, is a proud trustee for Lancashire Mind and is also the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee for the charity, further showcasing Granby’s dedication to mental health and well-being.
Caroline will soon be taking on the ‘Summer Solstice Walking Challenge’ in aid of Lancashire Mind, and here’s what she has to say about it.
“On the 19th June, I’ll be walking non-stop around Barden athletics track from sunrise (4.39am) to sunset (9.41pm), possibly covering 50 miles or more. I’m doing this to raise awareness and vital funds to support Lancashire Mind’s services.
The services provided by Lancashire Mind are crucial in supporting adults and young people in Lancashire who need it most.”
Some of our goals for promoting positive well-being include:
- Supporting our workforce with health and well-being
- Influencing support for health and well-being
- Collaborating with the wider community
We’re all really looking forward to learning more about mental health and promoting positive well-being in the community.
