UKWA Logistics Service Provider of the Year Winners
Granby UKWA Logistics Service Provider of the Year Winners: We are delighted to announce that yesterday Granby was named as the Logistics Service Provider of the Year in the UK Warehousing Association Awards for Excellence 2024 and Annual Lunch held at the Royal Lancaster, London. We couldn’t be more proud of our entire Granby team with this win.

The Awards
The awards, this year hosted by Alastair Campbell, were sponsored by Prologis.
“Alastair is the perfect choice to present our Awards for Excellence, and we look forward to an entertaining presentation with unique insights into the world of politics and frank advice on what it takes to be a successful leader, all delivered in his trademark ‘no punches pulled’ style! Smart, witty and never short on opinions, Alastair Campbell was Tony Blair’s right-hand man for ten years, as communications strategist and chief spokesman, often witnessing history in the making.”
He certainly delivered on the day!
The Logistics Service Provider of the Year Award
The Logistics Service Provider of the Year Award itself, sponsored by Pannatoni, celebrates the organisation who best demonstrated best practice, and meeting and exceeding the UKWA key principles of working safely, ethically and profitably.
This award was presented to Granby by Ian Henderson, Group Property Director at Associated British Ports and member of the UKWA Management Board.
This year, the UKWA saw a record number of entries, highlighting the exceptional talent and quality within our industry. The competition for the Logistics Service Provider of the Year award was fierce. As such, we are honoured to win this award.
UKWA AGM
The AGM of the UK Warehouse Association (UKWA) was held before the awards ceremony. Victoria and Caroline attended the Annual General Meeting. There was a full agenda that included insightful updates and discussions. The meeting began with a warm welcome and opening comments from Baroness McIntosh of Pickering. Baroness Pickering provided a great update following the recent election. The UKWA’s own manifesto was also highlighted. The UKWA plan to discuss with the incoming government. Mike Thomas, the UKWA Chairman, delivered a comprehensive report, followed by an engaging CEO report from Clare Bottle. Clare’s update focused on the events of the past year, with particular emphasis on the 80th Anniversary of the UKWA and the initiatives surrounding the Year of Warehousing. This anniversary makes it an especially significant year for Granby to be awarded the Logistics Partner of the Year. This underscores our commitment and excellence in the industry.
Before the awards Clare said “The number and quality of entries for our Awards was fantastic. The judging panel were proud to read of the achievements and innovations of our members and choosing the finalists in each category proved almost impossible!”
