We are delighted to announce that Caroline Noblett has been appointed as our new Managing Director and will lead us into what promises to be a very exciting year. This month we celebrate joining the Alliance of Independent Agencies, look forward to a playing our part in the UKWA Year of Warehousing and look back on some end of year celebrations with the Lancashire Skills Pledge. All this as well as taking a moment to celebrate being accepted onto the KCS Procurement Services Logistics, Warehousing & Removal Solution Framework as an approved supplier. And last but not least, we have a lot to look forward to this year, and we are grateful for your continued support. We wish you, your colleagues, and your families a very happy and prosperous 2024.

New Managing Director Granby appoint Caroline Noblett as new MD
We are pleased to confirm that from 1st January 2024, Caroline Noblett will take up the position of Managing Director.
Caroline says “I am delighted to take up the position of MD and I’m very aware that in doing so I am standing on the shoulders of a giant. On behalf of the whole leadership team, I’d like to express our gratitude for the leadership, fortitude and example set by my predecessor, Jo Kimber. Jo managed the business for many years and has successfully guided us through the process to employee ownership.”
In her new role as CEO, Jo will continue to contribute on the main board, alongside Caroline and Andrew Gregson. The board will be supported in the management of the business and the servicing of our clients by the rest of the leadership team.
Granby celebrate UKWA Year of Warehousing
In the Autumn of 2023, the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) announced that 2024 will see the launch of a high profile, year-long Year of Warehousing campaign to highlight the critical role of warehousing in supply chains. The three core pillars of the year will be to drive economic growth, deliver social value and generate solar power to achieve UK’s net zero goals.
At the launch event , Granby’s UKWA Board Member Victoria Pittman expressed her enthusiasm, stating: “The event provided a fantastic opportunity for all of us at the UKWA to look at ways to gain wider recognition for our industry. We discussed strategies to engage with the government, media, and the general public, ensuring our voices are heard. We are particularly pleased to help put Social Value on the UKWA agenda.”

Granby accepted onto new KCS Frameworks
Granby are delighted to announce that we have been accepted onto the KCS Procurement Services Logistics, Warehousing & Removal Solution Framework as an approved supplier. We are thrilled to be a part of this framework, which includes Lot 1 covering Warehousing and Storage, and Lot 2 focusing on Logistics Transport Services. As an experienced third-party logistics company with a strong track record in the public sector, we are proud to expand our KCS framework portfolio.

Celebration Event Lancashire Skills Pledge
In December, Caroline Noblett and Nicola Rogan of Granby had the privilege of attending the Lancashire Skills Pledge Celebration event. The Lancashire Skills Pledge initiative recognises organisations like ours who are committed to supporting skills and employment initiatives in our community across Lancashire.
Caroline had this to say “We, and the other businesses at the event, are all proud to be part of this incredible initiative and are excited to see the positive change it brings to our community. We were honoured to be thanked for our commitment and left the event inspired to do even more.”
There are eight pledges that businesses can get involved in and so far, an impressive 1,363 skills pledges have been registered, coming from 377 different businesses!
