Granby have committed to Net Zero Emissions by 2050. In our Carbon Report 2024 we share how we are dedicated to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, with an ambitious interim goal of reducing our output emissions by 40% by the end of 2025. This report shows how, as of 2024, we have already achieved a 31% decrease in carbon dioxide emissions. This is down from 131.06 tonnes in 2021 to 90.49 tonnes in 2024. This progress highlights our commitment and puts us well on track to meet our 40% reduction target. The report also highlights Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and outlines future plans.

Social Value

Social Value Report 2024

Granby have been developing Social Value policies and how we measure them for the past five years – and we update and publish our results annually. As we look back on 2024, it is clear that we have made significant progress across various domains, including employee well-being, environmental sustainability, and diversity. This report outlines our commitment to social responsibility and its impact on our community and workforce.  Social Value remains a very important topic for us:

Technology

Enbracing AI and Cyber Security

In the rapidly advancing tech landscape, Granby is committed to staying ahead by embracing AI and cyber security. Paul Dunleavy, Granby’s Head of IT, recently attended an intensive AI course, highlighting the transformative potential of AI for businesses. The course underscored data’s critical role, now deemed more valuable than oil, in shaping effective AI strategies. Granby is actively exploring generative AI and digital assistants to enhance client services, while also prioritising traditional AI for operational efficiency. As AI blurs the lines between human and machine interactions, cybersecurity becomes paramount. Granby’s renewed Cyber Essentials accreditations and proactive measures, including employee training and industry collaboration, underscore its dedication to safeguarding data and operations in this evolving digital era.
