How Granby adheres to cybersecurity standards

How Granby adheres to cybersecurity standards

Cybersecurity isn’t optional, it’s built into everything we do. At Granby, protecting client data across supply chains and logistics is a priority, not a checkbox. We don’t just meet the minimum standards,  we surpass them. Our infrastructure, processes, and people are aligned to exceed expectations, ensuring that sensitive information is secure at every touchpoint. This article explores how Granby embeds cybersecurity into its operations, with the precision and reliability our clients expect.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we thought we’d get involved by sharing the steps we take to ensure we meet security standards.

As a multi-award-winning fulfilment and logistics company, we work alongside an extensive network of supply chain partners. Having access to such a vast network of vendors means that security is essential.

Cybersecurity failures don’t just affect one business; they can bring entire supply chains to a standstill. A weak link can trigger data breaches, disrupt operations, damage reputations, and cause financial losses. That’s why Granby doesn’t compromise. With robust security protocols that are tested and embedded across every touchpoint, from warehousing to fulfilment. When you partner with Granby, you’re choosing a logistics provider that treats your data like it’s their own, securely, reliably, and without shortcuts.

How Granby remains ahead of cybersecurity

Granby recognises the effects that poor security can have, and therefore, we remain vigilant and ahead of security standards in many ways. We ensure that cybersecurity is ingrained in all of our strategies, enabling us to maintain security and protect our clients.

Our systems don’t just meet security requirements, they’re built to adapt, evolve, and stay ahead of emerging threats.

Granby is accredited to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, which are highly renowned and symbolise our commitment to security measures. Granby also follows all GDPR regulations and is accredited by ISO27001.

Cyber Essentials

The Cyber Essentials standard is led by the National Cyber Security Centre, backed by the government. The certification scheme aims to keep organisations and their customers’ data safe.

This standard is recognised as the minimum level of safety that every organisation should have. This highlights the need for more substantial measures to provide further protection.

According to the National Cyber Security Centre, “7.7 million cyber crimes were experienced by businesses over the past year. That’s around half of all businesses in the UK.”

Their research shows that organisations using the standard feel more informed, competitive, trusted and resilient.

Cyber Essentials Plus

Granby is accredited not only to the basic standard of Cyber Essentials but also to Cyber Essentials Plus. This additional security tier enables organisations to access a technical audit of IT systems. This tier is designed to give organisations peace of mind that they are truly adhering to the requirements outlined in the scheme.

The audit involves looking into internet gateways, servers and more.

Granby’s secure software

The talented software development team at Granby doesn’t just support operations, they drive innovation. Constantly looking for smarter ways to deliver, they build bespoke tools that streamline workflows, boost efficiency, and keep client data secure. Every solution is designed with real-world logistics in mind, helping brands stay agile and protected in a fast-moving environment.

Our software team has developed a range of tools, including SCOPe, SwiftReceipt and OrderSure, which enable us to provide the highest level of services.

All of our software tools are designed with security and user experience in mind, making them easy to use, regardless of the service you select. All of our systems require a secure login, ensuring that only authorised people can access your data.

Teaching at Granby

We don’t just talk about security, we embed it into how we work. At Granby, every team member is expected to stay ahead of the latest cybersecurity risks and protocols. That’s why we run regular training, refreshers, and updates tailored to each role.

It’s part of our commitment to keeping client data safe and our operations resilient. When threats evolve, so do we, and we make sure our people are equipped to respond. Read more about our cybersecurity strategy.

Our support

Security at Granby goes far beyond cybersecurity. Across our warehouses and operational sites, we’ve embedded robust physical security measures, to Cabinet Office standards, to protect client assets and ensure compliance with sensitive handling requirements. Every team member is issued a secure access card, granting entry only to authorised buildings and zones.

Our sites are monitored by 24/7 CCTV, directly linked to the local police network for rapid response. Within our warehouses, inventory is safeguarded in caged areas and high-security rooms, with access tightly controlled.

Before onboarding any new clients, we take the time to understand specific security requirements, from stock segregation to access protocols, and ensure our infrastructure and processes are aligned to meet them without compromise.

Granby provides a wide range of fulfilment and 3PL services. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality services to brands while ensuring security at all times.

We remain committed to ensuring cybersecurity standards are met and exceeded throughout our business operations.
