Victoria presents at Multimodal Expo 2025

Victoria Pittman, our Head of Client Services and Business Development, was invited to be a guest speaker at this year’s Multimodal Expo. The event took place over three days, from the 17th to the 19th of June at the NEC in Birmingham.
The Multimodal Expo is the UK’s leading transport, logistics and supply chain expo, offering expert insights into the industry. Since 2008, the expo has gathered shippers, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, exporters and suppliers from all over the country to share insightful knowledge and encourage industry growth.
Victoria covered the interesting topic of why the UK leads the way in eCommerce, along with other impressive panellists, such as Karan from the UKWA. Victoria is a proud member of the UKWA’s board, and she has played a crucial role in supporting the association. Granby has been working alongside the UKWA since 2018.

Why the UK leads the way when it comes to eCommerce
eCommerce has experienced a huge shift in recent years, and much of this can be attributed to the pandemic, the cost of living crisis and wars around the world. One of the most significant changes has been to the way that consumers choose to shop.
Online shopping has become increasingly popular due to its accessibility and ease of use. In order to adapt to this shift, retailers have had to gain a deeper understanding of consumer needs.
The shift to online shopping has not only impacted high streets, but it has also strained businesses when it comes to their supply chains and logistics models. Many companies face challenges in streamlining their processes when it comes to eCommerce. Read our blog on the future of eCommerce.
During the event, Victoria and other members of the panel discussed the sustainability of eCommerce and the impacts it has had on wider supply chains and logistics models. The feedback from the event has been excellent.
The Multimodal Expo was also accredited by The CPD Group, allowing attendees to gain CPD credits and a certificate.

More about the Multimodal Expo 2025
Last year, the event focused on sustainability within the industry, and this year, there was an increased focus on artificial intelligence. The Multimodal Expo featured AI Clinics, where businesses could receive personalised consultations on how AI could help them transform their operations.
At Granby, we are extremely proud of Victoria for being selected and taking on this opportunity to share valuable information with industry specialists.
Here’s what Victoria had to say about speaking at the event:
“It was an honour to speak at this year’s Multimodal Expo alongside such a brilliant panel. The UK’s leadership in eCommerce is driven by innovation, resilience, and a deep understanding of consumer needs. I was proud to share how Granby is helping shape that future.”
