Honouring Excellence: Three Employees to Judge Leading Industry Awards
The next few weeks are going to be busy for the amazing team at Granby! We’re thrilled to announce that three of our employees have been chosen to judge leading industry awards.
At Granby, we are dedicated to leading, learning and embracing excellence within our sector, and we are always looking for ways to achieve this.
AIA Awards
The Alliance of Independent Agencies (AIA) offers a wide variety of events and teaching programmes to ensure that UK agencies can reach their full potential. They support agencies through networking, teaching, training, and mentoring.
Their ethos is focused on championing great work, pioneering professional standards and ensuring great leadership, value and purpose. They work with agencies across the UK to ensure that industry benchmarks are being met regarding diversity, inclusion, flexible working, salaries and more.
We’re proud to share that Owen Harris will be taking part in the judging process for the AIA Awards next week. This awards ceremony searches for independent agencies that drive dedication, creativity and expertise.
The Independent Agency Awards are in partnership with MAD//Fest, which champions marketing and advertising agencies across the country. The shortlisted agencies will be announced on the 14th of May, and the winners will be announced on the 1st of July at MAD//Fest.
BIBAs Awards
The BIBAs, or Best in Business Awards, are known as ‘the one they all want to win’. This fantastic event is run by the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, an independent membership organisation. The chamber is dedicated to supporting businesses in Lancashire and promoting economic well-being in the county.
The BIBAs award ceremony has built an amazing reputation since it was first introduced in 2008. The BIBAs also runs its own foundation to develop an enterprising culture in Lancashire’s young people. They have donated over £100,000 to young people, charities, social enterprises and community groups. This closely aligns with our passion for giving back to the community through our various social value activities.
We’re incredibly proud of Charlotte Booth, our Head of People and Finance, who has been selected as a judge for this year’s event.
Charlotte will be judging the Apprentice Team of the Year award, where the competition is high! Being employee-owned, we are passionate about seeing individuals thrive in their careers and build themselves up professionally to reach their full potential.
The judging process features multiple rounds, and the winners will be announced at the BIBAs ceremony on the 19th of September.
UKWA Awards for Excellence
Victoria Pittman, Head of Client Services and Business Development, will be serving as a judge for the prestigious UKWA Awards for Excellence. This recognition highlights Victoria’s significant contributions to the industry and her role as a member of the UKWA’s board. Granby has been working with the UKWA since 2018, and Victoria has played a crucial role in supporting the association’s initiatives.
The UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) is Britain’s leading trade organisation dedicated to the warehousing sector. With over 900 members and more than 2,000 locations, the UKWA provides an essential voice for the industry. The association helps its members operate safely, ethically, and profitably, safeguarding industry standards and ensuring their views are represented clearly and effectively to the government.
The UKWA Awards for Excellence celebrate outstanding achievements within the warehousing sector. These awards recognise both top-performing individuals and businesses, highlighting their contributions to the industry. The awards cover ten categories, including Young Employee of the Year, Warehouse Manager of the Year, and Logistics Service Provider of the Year. The event provides an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to connect, share insights, and celebrate their successes.
The UKWA Awards for Excellence will be presented at the Annual Awards Lunch on 9th July in London. This event promises to be a fantastic occasion to celebrate the sector’s achievements and connect with industry peers.
